Oil on canvas, 2023 120 × 100 cm

About The Work

In Oran's abstract compositions, in which we follow various variations of the surface-color relationship, we come across a depth consisting of layers of paint and countless random stripes of lines that cross the canvas boundaries - without a visual focal point. This depth consists of layers of paint stacked on top of each other, completely covering each other. Then, he creates his picture by opening these piles of paint with pieces of wood that fall into his hands, scraping, Decoupling, reaching the underlying surfaces, colors, moving between layers. What dominates his painting is reflection, this reflection comes from the richness of the material he uses.
